2011 Geography Competition

2011 Rules and Regulations

A fun way for your students to learn about the culture of Baton Rouge and the world!

Four Divisions: - 5-7 years old, 8-10 years old, 11-13 years old, 14-18 years old

Free On-Line Pre-Registration: Limited number of participants allowed, so register early at www.brcwa.com.

Free On-Site Registration: 11:30 am to noon - Limited to number of slots still available.

Registration & Check-In Table: Check in from 11:30 am to noon on River Road in front of River Center Exhibition Hall doors. Obtain passport and instructions.

Competition: Noon to 2:00 pm

Phase 1: Participants visit all countries in World Village to collect country stamps in passport. Must return passport to registration table by 1:00 pm.

Phase 2: Participants visit 5 assigned countries and answer questions to earn competition stamps. Must return passport to registration table by 2:00 pm to be eligible for award.

Phase 3: Participants march in Parade of Nations at 3:00 pm.

Awards: 3:30 pm - Participants obtaining highest number of passport stamps qualify for prize drawing. Winners announced immediately after Parade of Nations. Must be present to receive prize.
