Guests Present
The Honorable Olivier Brochenin, Consul General of France, attended as an honored guest the quarterly meeting of the Board of Directors of Baton Rouge Center for World Affairs, Inc. (BRCWA). The meeting was held at Louisiana State Library on May 28, 2010. Other invited guests included Samantha Chareille, Attaché for Education, Gunnery Sergeant Erica James, U.S. Maine Forces Reserve, Orhan Kizilkaya, Atlas Foundation, Yvette Marshall, Recreation and Park Commission (BREC), and Monique Franks, IHC Country Leader. Monika Olivier, President, reported on BRCWA’S recent International Heritage Celebration and several more multicultural projects completed in the first quarter of 2010, including the US Marine Corp Multicultural Day. She then announced plans for the upcoming International Sister Cities Tennis Tournament in October 2010 in Baton Rouge and the Twin Cities International Market in Aix-en-Provence, France, in November 2010.
