A fun way for your students to learn about the culture of Baton Rouge and the world!Four Divisions: - 5-7 years old, 8-10 years old, 11-13 years old, 14-18 years old Free Registration: 11:00 am to noon - Limited number of participants. No pre-registration. Obtain passport and instructions. Registration table: on Plaza next to River Center Theatre, access from St. Louis St.; look for competition banner. Competition: Noon to 2:30 pm Phase 1: Participants visit all countries in World Village to collect country stamps in passport. Must return passport to registration table by 1:00 pm. Phase 2: Participants visit 5 assigned countries and answer questions to earn competition stamps. Must return passport to registration table by 2:30 pm to be eligible for award. Phase 3: (optional) Participants march in Parade of Nations. Awards: 3:30 pm - Participants obtaining highest number of passport stamps qualify for prize drawing. Winners announced immediately after Parade of Nations. Must be present to receive prize. |
