International Heritage Celebration

Picture
Held annually in October, the International Heritage Celebration brings the community together, fostering better interaction between its ethnic groups by  increasing knowledge and understanding of each other.  Music, food, dance,  storytelling and educational booths from over 50 countries provide a rich insight into the multi-cultural makeup of Baton Rouge.  This event is made possible by 700 volunteers eager to share their culture.  30,000 visitors attend annually including students from more than 150 regional schools, as identified in a recent survey.
